Why Is My Bidet Leaking?

If you’re experiencing a leak with your bidet, it’s likely coming from one of two places: the T-valve or the nozzle. The location of the leak and the condition of the bidet or relevant hardware will determine how to address this issue.

My bidet is leaking from the T-valve.

The T-valve (or T-adapter) is a T-shaped piece that connects to your water supply hose, diverting some to the bidet and the rest to the toilet tank. In most cases, a leak from the T-valve is caused by an improperly seated or missing rubber seal. We include a black rubber seal (or O-ring) installed inside the female end of the T-valve adapter. Make sure the seal is installed by turning off the water supply and unscrewing the bidet water line from the T-valve. Inspect the connection for the seal/O-ring; if it’s missing or broken, you’ll need to check your packaging or contact us for a replacement.

My bidet is leaking from the nozzle.

The simplest reason a bidet nozzle may leak is that it’s clogged with sediment that interfering with normal function. If running the self-cleaning mode doesn’t clear things up, try mixing equal parts water and vinegar, plus a little dish soap, in a spray bottle. Spray it on the nozzle and scrub gently with a soft-bristled brush.

Bidet nozzle leaks are commonly complex, or internal issues. If you experience leaking after cleaning the area, your bidet nozzle may be broken or defective. If this is the case, contact our customer support team for a repair or replacement.

Why Is My Bidet Nozzle Not Working?

The two most common nozzle problems are the bidet not spraying correctly or the nozzle not retracting as designed. Here’s how to tackle both problems …

My bidet is not spraying water.

In most cases, this is caused by a clogged bidet nozzle. Over time, mineral buildup or debris can block the nozzle holes. Clean the nozzle with pH-neutral dish soap in warm water and an old toothbrush to remove any blockage.

Several Bio Bidet models also have an occupant sensor, which prevents the bidet from spraying unless someone is seated. If the sensor malfunctions, contact our support team to address this further.

The bidet nozzle is not retracting.

Bio Bidet offers several models with retractable nozzles. When these moveable components stop moving, it’s usually caused by an obstruction near the nozzle base. Clear the obstruction with pH-neutral dish soap and warm water. Dip a toothbrush you’ve reserved for cleaning in a bowl of warm water with a few squirts of dish soap. Scrub gently at the base of the nozzle to remove any debris or buildup. Repeat as necessary until the nozzle can move freely.

Why Is My Bidet Not Spraying Water?

If your bidet suddenly stops spraying – and cleaning the nozzle doesn’t work, it’s usually an issue with the water supply or the bidet knob.

The bidet stops spraying or has low water pressure.

Check the water supply by flushing the toilet. Since your bidet and toilet share the same water supply, if your toilet flushes and refills, you’ve got water! If it doesn’t, make sure the supply valve is open by turning the handle counterclockwise all the way.

You may need to contact a plumber if there's still no water.

The bidet knob broke.

The control knob opens and shuts the bidet’s internal valve, allowing water to flow. A damaged or cracked knob may not properly operate the valve. Contact our support team for more information.
